about us

welcome

a few words about me

In 2006 I moved to Scotland without knowing any English. I undertook an English course but not happy with my English after a year, I decided to go to university. I cried of happiness when I was told I could start the degree in Psychology from year 3 due to my Spanish degree. I completed my Honours degree with an A and plenty of congratulations from my tutors. I then decided to continue fulfilling my dream of becoming a psycotherapist. Before completing my MSc in Counselling I got a job in one of the organizations where I undertook my placement, a rape crisis centre working with complex trauma providing therapy for survivors of sexual violence. I haven’t stopped working and studying since.

my approach

The base or core of all my work is Person Center as I put great emphasis on the therapeutic relationship, the core conditions and the belief that the client is the expert of themselves. These, I believe, are the key to successful therapy and it is independent of the therapeutic approach or techniques used.

I am a friendly, warm and genuine therapist that aims to truly connect to her clients to help them feel safe, accepted and unconditionally understood so they can feel able to explore their deepest concerns and reach meaningful insight.

I can provide long term in depth counselling/psychotherapy to individuals, and more focused short term counselling to couples, nevertheless, I will respect your pace and your journey and the amount of sessions you undertake will be entirely your decision as I believe you are the expert of yourself and I am only a guide who empowers you to find the answers within and embrace your autonomy.

qualifications

My passion about all aspects around the human mind and inner world is visible through my training since the beginning of my career to now. I am committed to understanding the human psyche and find the best ways to help each unique individual or couple to live a better life.
